Meditation for September 26th, 2016
Seriously, Trump Is Going To Be President And It Is Your Fault
I wrote a similar meditation on March 31st. I thought maybe I could be wrong, or I had a pessimistic view on you, bout now we are in late September and Hillary is only ahead by as low as one point!
Reasons:
You won’t fucking let go of Bernie. Let it go you selfish piece of shit white hippy dude. It’s not just about you and your yoga and your kombucha. We are talking Supreme Court nominees, women rights, immigration, education and son much more than being so close to getting a radical in office.
You think Hillary is corrupt and a career politician. You’re right, but maybe that is the attributes needed to run a goddamned country!
You think Trump is going to not be or hasn’t been?
You are voting for Dr. Stein of the Green Party. That’s adorable. Did you know she would rather have Trump president than Hillary if she isn’t? She would rather, and she admits this, watch her own country burn than see Hillary president.
You are voting for Gary Johnson. Remember all the reasons you liked Bernie? Well, Gary is the opposite of that. Funding education? Hates it. Funding healthcare? Hates it. Funding women’s health? Hates it. Yes he does wants to make drugs legal and is against any laws that discriminates, but he also is against laws that protect us from discrimination – because of liberty.
You aren’t voting. You probably think the Queen of England is a lizard person to.
The worse reason of all: apathy. You can’t be bothered. You are so into other shit right now and can’t be bummed out, man. Like, your parents are like yelling at the TV instead of watching the E channel and that is triggering. Uh, politics is sooo boring and like so basic.
Have fun when it’s too late.
You won’t listen to anything beyond a sound bite.
You have no knowledge of history.
You fall for news articles that aren’t even true.
You are pretty unsure of how the system works.
You are an anarchist, which is a fancy word for apathy hidden under disgusted anger.
While there is midterm elections, local elections and measures that can be voted on every year, you treat the presidential elections like the Olympics: the only time you will watch synchronized swimming with feigned interest.
You are not a registered voter.
People who are voting for Trump are reacting to the very foundation of their racist system crumbling down around them. They see what looks like PC police and attacks on their freedom, so they lash out. Trump gives them that voice.
They don’t know the system, nor do they want to, so they are voting on the sole reason that Trump speaks the fear and hate they feel. Maybe theyre misguided, maybe they don’t know any better, maybe that many people are that terrible.
They don’t want to see their own parts. They will not see that the kind of culture and politicians they have supported have cause tremendous harm to others. Even to them, but admitting they were wrong is asking a lot.
They are now convinced that Obama invaded Iraq, not George W. Bush.
The country is in pain.
This pain, which is painful, is a sign that we are about to change for the better if we want to. We saw that happen in the 60s. Now we have this chance to continue the change by voting.
Trump is the example of the old American robber barons of the 19th century. Put a monocle on him and he could be yelling about the Irish.
